Katherine Freund, Library Director

I’m an aspiring hobby farmer who is always up for making a strange concoction in the kitchen. I love to peruse all the cookbooks, craft books, and gardening books. When I’m not farming, gardening, cooking, or biking. . .  I enjoy reading historical fiction and creepy thrillers!

Alex Vanderloop, Library Tech. – Interlibrary Loans & To-Go Kits

I am a life-long Little Chuter and in the thick of parenting. My husband and I have a 2 year old daughter, a baby boy, and a golden doodle named Nellie. As a family, we love to spend time at the cottages with our families and partake in any outdoor activity that wears out our very energetic toddler.

If I’m not reading picture books or singing nursery rhymes, I love a good psychological thriller.

Michelle Best, Library Tech. – Technology & Cataloging Guru

I have lived in the Fox Valley area my whole life.  Growing up in Kimberly and residing in Little Chute with my husband in 2007.  We have a son enrolled in the Little Chute area school district and a dog that completes our family.

As a family, we enjoy everything there is to do outdoors.  We hike about once or twice a week, we love fishing, kayaking and of course golfing.

My husband likes reading about history, my son loves Graphic Novels and I am a sucker for a great Mystery/Psychological thriller.

Matthew Gloudemans, Library Tech. – AV Master

I have grown up and lived in Little Chute my whole life. I enjoy reading, playing video games, and listening to music. I also enjoy being outdoors.  My favorite type of book is young adult science fiction/fantasy.

Elizabeth Brittnacher, Library Tech. – Craft Master

I enjoy all crafts, plants, and food, of course. In my spare time, I like to craft, tend to my many house plants, play with my cat, and bake cakes. I also love to spend time outside and go camping with my family. My favorite books to read are science fiction, especially dystopian novels. I love comedy movies and am always looking for movies that can make me laugh!

Jared Weber, Library Tech. – Volunteer Coordinator, Comic Club & Arts Program Facilitator

I enjoy art, comics, and graphic novels. In my spare time, I draw, paint, and play with my two dogs and mountain bike. I have always enjoyed libraries because they let you take things for free. Everyone loves free!
